The Sentinel has built-in hardware redundancies including hot-swappable power supplies, 8-port serial device modules, NICs and optional modem card. The Sentinel will allow you 24/7 access to all of your mission critical servers and network gear. Not only is the Thinklogical Sentinel reliable, our full distribution Linux operating system provides the system administrator with all the benefits of the world wide Linux developer community. The Sentinel provides support for OpenSSH, OpenLDAP, NIS and TACACS+ security configuration, and is fully customizable to fit in with your current network protocols and scripts. In fact, the complete line of Thinklogical console servers comes with a 512 megabyte compact flash, which is large enough to hold most customers 3rd party software components. Add to this our 256K FIFO buffer for each device port: should any of your attached devices fail, you will have a 400+ line audit trail to view activity and panics to greatly reduce time to fix. Access to the Sentinel could not be easier or more flexible. Administrative access is gained through the local terminal, directly over the network(s), or remotely via the optional internal modem. A browser based GUI is built in for easy setup. For telcos, the Sentinel is available in 48 volt versions and optional serial device port sized from 8 to 32 ports (8 ports increments).
